Peter Davis

Peter has appeared with Dorset Opera in Nabucco and Don Carlo and spent a couple of years singing with the BBC National Chorus of Wales. Apart from grand opera he has appeared in many G&S roles, which include The Mikado & Pooh Bah Mikado; Dick Deadeye  HMS Pinafore; Shadbolt  Yeomen of the Guard; the Grand Inquisitor Gondoliers; Marmaduke Pointdextre  The Sorcerer and Mountararat  Iolanthe. He has also played the king in The King and I, Ben Rumson in Paint Your Wagon and Jerry Reynolds in the musical of Morpurgo’s Friend or Foe. He has studied under Terence Sharpe and currently with David Ashmore and has a penchant for Victorian and Edwardian ballads.

Peter had great fun performing the role of Bartollo in Felici's 1910 set production of The Marriage of Figaro. He particularly enjoyed dressing as a statue for his role  Il Commandatore for their 17th century inspired interpretation of Mozart's Don Giovanni in autumn 2018.
