Originally from Yorkshire, Sue studied the piano and viola at the Royal College of Music, London. Central to her music making is a thriving and successful piano teaching practice based in her studio in Pirton, Hertfordshire where she works with pupils of all ages.  Alongside this, Sue mentors instrumentalists and singers in their preparations for higher grade music exams, diplomas and auditions as well as accompanying in festivals and concerts. Recordings include piano works for several films such as Lady Chatterley and Emma. She has played for numerous light operatic productions and has been musical director for several Gilbert & Sullivan operettas including The Mikado and The Gondoliers for Putteridgebury G & S Society, recently conducting the latter at the Harrogate International G & S Festival. She accompanies the Luton based Caritas Harmony Ladies Choir. In her spare time she enjoys travelling, reading and singing with the North Herts Guild of singers
