Augusta Lees - light lyric soprano

Augusta is thrilled to be joining the fantastic performers in Felici for Don Giovanni in Autumn 2018. Piano was always her first love but she started performing on the stage after she graduated with a BMus from Royal Holloway University of London. Major roles in Lincolnshire included Jospehine(HMS Pinafore), Mabel (Pirates of Penzance), Gabrielle (La Vie Parisienne). She enjoyed performing with Peak Opera at the Buxton Opera House for three consecutive years including playing Sacharissa (Princess Ida), before she moved to Hertfordshire.

Since 2015 Augusta has been singing with: Peregrina EnChantica, a small vocal ensemble which mixes performing Bulgarian song and orthodox chant with newly composed music dedicated to wildlife conservation; Abbots Langley Gilbert and Sullivan Society; and the English Chamber Choir where she was awarded a scholarship. With the ECC she has sung a variety of film music at the Royal Albert Hall (Michael Giacchino at 50, Beauty and the Beast, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Close Encounters of the Third Kind) and at the London Palladium (Game of Thrones and The Lord of the Rings). They also regularly sing at St Martin-in-the-Fields (Messiah and Mozart Requiem), and she has done recording work with The Fizz and Rick Wakeman.
