Elizabeth Bottone

Lyric Soprano

Elizabeth has appeared nationally and internationally on the concert and opera stage in an ongoing performing career spanning over 15 years. She combines performing with a busy teaching practice, examining for ABRSM and spending time with her young family.

Elizabeth studied violin, piano, oboe and singing whist at school; going on to study voice at the Royal Academy of Music and subsequently graduating from the opera course with distinction. She has also studied with Dame Kiri Te Kanawa in Italy.

Elizabeth’s performances range from playing Michaela (Carmen) to premiering a new work at the QEH.

Elizabeth is a highly sought after singing teacher. Previous pupils have sung in the West End, hold diplomas in Music Theatre, have completed all their ABRSM Grades and have been awarded choral scholarships to the universities of both Oxford and Cambridge. Elizabeth examines Grades and Diplomas internationally for ABRSM and is a consultant for their new Singing for Music Theatre exams.

Elizabeth’s interests away from music include days out with her young family, walking, travel and project managing her garden! She is married to Benjamin, a fellow musician, head of music and champion for music making in the community.
