Elizabeth Bottone

Lyric Soprano

Elizabeth graduated from the Royal Academy of Music's opera course with distinction. There, she won the Dame Eva Turner Scholarship for sopranos with dramatic potential and a place to study with Kiri Te Kanawa and Frederica von Stade at the Solti Accademia in Italy. Professional operatic work includes Michaela (Carmen), Euridice (Orfeo ed Euridice), Helena (A Midsummer's Night Dream) and 1st Lady (Die Zauberflote) amongst others. Elizabeth has performed extensively on the concert platform most notably with Alan Opie in Mendelssohn's Elijah and with the Mozart Requiem at St Martin in the Fields. She is member of Putteridgebury Gilbert and Sullivan Soicety where she has played the role of Mabel (Pirates of Penzance).

 

Elizabeth is also a local singing teacher and ABRSM examiner.
